Rename files

If you want to rename multiple files in Linux, you could use rename.
Syntax
rename 's/oldpattern/newpattern/' *

Replace oldpattern with the string you want to replace and newpattern with the string to replace oldpattern.

    Or use Thunar Bulk Rename if you prefer GUIs

    and don’t forget the “g” at the end of the rename regexp. Else only the first match will be replaced!
